Citywide Ferry Study for New York is published

The preliminary report for the Citywide Ferry Study 2013, a study conducted by Steer Davies Gleave for the New York Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), has now been published.

Steer Davies Gleave provided essential ridership and cost modelling, combined with economic analysis, to provide the foundation for the City’s decision-making on passenger ferry service expansion.

The Citywide Ferry Study is already in use as the primary tool aiding the new administration in its policy-making with respect to both passenger ferries and waterfront redevelopment. It is also a key input into the City’s planning for transit system redundancy following such events as the attacks of September 11, 2001 and Hurricane Sandy.

The preliminary report Citywide Ferry Study 2013 is available on the New York City Economic Development Corporation website.
