Sofia Arroyo joins the Steer North American team
Steer is delighted to welcome Sofia Arroyo as an Associate Director in our Sacramento office.
Read moreSofía joined our team in 2008, after she worked for a couple of years for another transport consultancy firm. Currently, Sofía is an Associate Director, and until some months ago, she was our Office Leader in Mexico.
She is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with more than 16 years of experience in the transport industry, including public transit, toll roads, passenger rail and urban planning.
As a transportation engineer, she has worked as a modeller, project manager and project director successfully advising clients from the public and the private sectors in more than 150 transportation studies, in Mexico and other countries in Latin America, related mainly to demand and revenue forecasting to support infrastructure transactions.
She has led studies of transport infrastructure projects in a conceptual phase, including advising clients from the private sector to present non-solicited proposals to the governments of Mexico and Guatemala; to those related with the re-negotiation of concession contracts, the issuance of bond certificates in the Mexican stock market or the financing/re-financing of toll roads for public and private clients.
